A California native, Derek has six plus years’ experience working in youth development. He is passionate about breaking down the social and economic barrier’s that are preventative to youth finding successful and sustainable work. He describes himself as a former Top Tier opportunity youth. Yet to receive a college degree, he has still managed to gain a soft and hard professional skill set. Derek will be providing a unique cultural lens to the journey of disadvantage youth. As Technical Assistant he works closely with I+E’s multi-disciplinary teams to support new employment pathways and opportunities.
