Hope joined the I+E team in 2018 in addition to her role as Research Affiliate for Work + Learn Futures at the Institute for the Future (IFTF) helping individuals develop future skills to thrive in a shapeshifting work + learn landscape. She is passionate about providing thought leadership and research insights to create equitable futures for working learners. Her area of expertise is translating complex research theories into the design and development of practical solutions that provide the greatest impact and opportunity for positive change.

Prior to joining the Work + Learn Futures team at the IFTF, she served in a variety of leadership and technical roles in R & D, product and business development, and marketing at ACT, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides assessment and learning solutions. She also served as the Director of Research and Analysis for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development under the leadership of Governor Mitch Daniels (currently President of Purdue University). In this position, she directed federal-state cooperative employment and occupational statistical programs for the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and developed the Indiana Workforce Intelligence System linking K-12, post-secondary and workforce data to better understand the unique dynamics between working and learning.

Hope received her PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Northern Illinois University and completed the Executive Leadership program at the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business. Her philosophy and approach to solving problems is embracing chaos and disruption to discover new insights, seeking new connections and developing better technologies that empower people to create meaningful life journeys.
